Introducing Ring Video Doorbell Pro

Our mission of reducing crime in neighborhoods has been the source of momentum here at Ring. Two years later, our Ring customers have also expressed how Ring Video Doorbell plays a pivotal role in protecting their homes. From alerting their neighborhood watch group of a package theft caught on Ring Video Doorbell, to having direct, immediate access to the front door when an unexpected visitor comes by, our Ring family have shared tons of stories of how Ring Video Doorbell truly allows them to be #AlwaysHome.

With Ring Video Doorbells on over hundreds of thousands of doors in over 80 countries worldwide, we’re excited to introduce the newest addition to the Ring family: Ring Video Doorbell Pro. This new device will offer hardwired users a configurable Motion Detection as well as the highly requested and newest feature, Live View. Abiding to our core mission, Ring Video Doorbell Pro will allow users to see and speak with visitors at their front door from anyplace, anytime.

With no signs of slowing down, we’re thrilled to also announce that we’ve raised $61.2 million in a Series C round of financing. This round was lead by Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield & Byers with participation from our current investor Sir Richard Branson. We’re very fortunate to have investors such as American Family Insurance (the largest home insurance company in the nation), Richard Branson, Shea Ventures, True Ventures, Upfront Ventures, First Round Capital, and now Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield & Byers fully back our mission, and we could not be more excited to have such a leading group of investors.
