It retains the previous model’s 4MP QHD Starlight, 98ft. of SmartIR with even better AI-enhanced video management & perimeter protection skills. And it continues the MX series’s 120db of WDR with Smart IR & FlexSmartAi video management. But the new IRW3 version adds AI Scene Self-Adaptation (SSA) for the best clarity & edge detection in rain, fog, backlight, low light, or varying lighting conditions. Those better details matter even more because the IRW3 edition scrutinizes every frame with our latest cutting-edge iMD 2.0 AI & metadata detection & streaming. 

NEXT-GENERATION AI DETECTION

This IRW3 edition wedge camera’s internal AI discerns image metadata frame-by-frame. Then every frame’s objects are encoded & streamed along with the video & audio. When this metadata is recorded on an IC Realtime AI NVR with Object Search, that metadata lets the AI NVR find your selection not only on the IPMX-W40F’s channel but on every NVR channel equipped with an iMD 2.0 AI camera. With one image select & click, every iMD 2.0 channel on the NVR is searched. Not yet using an AI-NVR? No worries - the W40F’s AI also upgrades Perimeter Protection and standard iMD functionality too. 

AI ADAPTABLE INTEGRATION

When installed on an IC Realtime NVR, IPMX-W40F’s AI can engage one of the world’s most advanced lossless stream compression schemes. Engaging Smart / AI H.264/H.265 or H.264+/H.265+ scene-adaptive compression settings means maximum streaming speeds & maximum NVR storage capacity. Also optimized for web-based systems, IPMX-W40F-IRW3 is ONVIF Profile S, G & T, P2P, and CGI compatible. To ensure the IPMX-W40F will work with most VMS systems and 3rd party recorders, it has 3 available output streams with widely customizable resolution, frame rate, and compression output settings. IPMX-W40F-IRW3 also has “edge” recording capabilities in the form of an internal 256 Gb mSD card slot for local recording or “off line” VMS and ANR stream buffering.

AI DETECTION & FLEXIBLE INSTALLATION

And as great as this little wedge camera is at video-based detection, IPMX-W40F-IRW3’s capabilities extend into the audio realm too. The W40F has both a built-in microphone and external audio inputs. Being a Max Series security camera, W40F is alarm integrator ready with alarm I/O ports on the camera’s network pigtail. Like its MX Line camera teammates, IPMX-W40F’s dependability is based on its IP67 weatherproof and IK10 impact-resistant rating. It’s 4.37” around by 2.55” high and it has color-matched, screwdriver-fit junction boxes and other mounting options available for indoor & outdoor installations. Where 7.2 watts of PoE power is unavailable, the W40F can be locally powered with 12VDC @ 1A. Upgrading & only have coax camera wire available? We have plug-and-play adapters for that, too.
