Widgets

Customizable widgets allow users to personalize their home screen however they like and get quick access to frequently used functions such as cameras and device status. With the ability to swap out, resize, and rearrange, widgets optimize your home screen and room view layout.

Routines

With X4’s new Routines feature, users can create automated actions tailored to their lifestyle. Routines are created scenes with schedules but even more flexible and interactive. That means your customers can make the basic changes they want, when they want, letting you spend your time on what matters most.

Expanded Apple HomeKit Integration

Customers can now independently manage devices, access scenes, and convert all devices in the Apple ecosystem into customizable interfaces without needing an integrator. Everything from Car Play, Apple widgets, and of course, Siri.

IMPORTANT:
CONTROL4 X4.0 WILL BE THE TERMINAL BUILD FOR GEN 1&2 LIGHTING, T3, EA OSD

Control4 X4 will be the terminal build for the devices listed below. These devices will be able to update to Control4 X4.0. However, they will not be supported in the next release - whether that is X4.1 or X5. Customers that wish to update past X4.0 will have to remove and/or replace these devices:

• Control4 T3 - Touchscreens* In-Wall and Table Top - 7" and 10"
• Control4 Dimmers, Switches and Keypads - Gen 1 and Gen 2
• OnScreen Display (OSD)* for Control4 EA1, EA3 and EA5 Controllers - v1 and v2

These legacy touchscreens and wireless lighting products have not been available for purchase for a number of years, and already have a reduced feature-set in OS 3.X due to their outdated components, and that handicap will increase with the updated to X4.
