Proper Zigbee migration is an important part of replacing a Control4 controller. Losing the existing Zigbee network can require devices throughout the home to be physically re-identified, turning what should be a controller replacement into a much larger project.

Drivers & Third-Party Licenses

• Review applicable third-party drivers and integrations following the migration.
• Check driver licensing that may be affected by the replacement controller.
• Assist with reactivation or migration of applicable driver licenses when supported by the driver developer.
• Identify drivers or integrations that may require updates, replacement, or additional licensing.

YOUR PROJECT FILE IS INCLUDED

Before beginning the migration, we'll make a courtesy backup of your existing Control4 project.

At your request, we'll provide you with a copy of your Control4 .c4p project file for your records—even if you choose not to use Automated Now for future programming services.

We can also provide a cable schedule and system connection drawing documenting the existing system configuration, with the drawing available as a PDF upon request.

Some controller migrations may uncover equipment, drivers, licenses, or programming that cannot be transferred directly to the replacement controller.

Additional charges may apply for:

• Replacement of unsupported or end-of-life hardware.
• Purchase or replacement of third-party driver licenses.
• Updating or replacing incompatible drivers.
• Re-identification of devices when an existing Zigbee network cannot be successfully migrated.
• Control4 OS upgrades outside the scope of the controller migration.
• Additional programming, troubleshooting, or system modifications unrelated to the migration.

We'll identify applicable issues whenever possible and discuss any additional work required before proceeding outside the contracted migration scope.
