EnergyFlow for Tesla is the first Tesla energy driver for Control4 - designed to seamlessly integrate Tesla Powerwall and solar into your smart home. Users can view real-time metrics directly within Control4's navigator, offering at-a-glance insights into battery charge levels, solar production, power grid usage, and home power consumption. 

Robust programming capabilities empower users to create customized automations based on solar production, battery state, and energy consumption. Whether you're optimizing energy use or ensuring uninterrupted power during outages, EnergyFlow for Tesla provides the flexibility and control you need to manage your energy smarter.

Storm Mode gives users more control of their Powerwall when severe weather is forecast. Homeowners can easily set their Powerwall reserve capacity to 100% allowing them to quickly prepare for severe weather. The ability to toggle Storm Mode manually gives users the opportunity to capture excess solar energy before severe weather hits, rather than rely on grid charging when the storm is imminent. In a future release, storm mode will be integrated with a US-based weather service to automate storm mode based on user-configured watches and warnings. Storm mode is not the same as Tesla Storm Watch.

PROGRAMMING EVENTS AND DATA

The following are available either as programming events or as variable data within the driver. This allows triggering other actions in Control4 based on changes in solar, grid or battery status. For example, when the power grid goes offline, turn off non-critical loads.

REQUIREMENTS

• Tesla Gateway

• Tesla Powerwall

• Homeowner must have a Tesla account and must authorize the driver to access their energy products

Solar inverter brand does not matter as long as Gateway CT clamp is monitoring solar output. Data is obtained from Tesla Fleet API.

Multiple Tesla Energy "Sites" are supported. Multiple Powerwalls that are stacked/installed in a single site show up as a single Powerwall while Powerwalls installed as separate sites will show up as separate icons in the driver.
