Chowmainsoft's UniFi driver for Control4 delivers deep integration between Control4 systems and the UniFi ecosystem of products. This driver provides support for UniFi Protect, cameras, sensors, viewport, network routers, access points and switches under a single licence, creating a unified and cost-effective experience for dealers and end users.

A key feature of this release is the ability to display a full history of events from UniFi Protect with accompanying image snapshots. Users can filter by camera, event type and date range, as well as review system logs. In addition, the driver introduces experimental support for NVR video playback, enabling access to recorded video directly through Control4 with audio. These features bring a new level of visibility and control by allowing both live monitoring and retrospective review of events within the same interface.

The driver includes comprehensive support for UniFi Protect cameras with live video streaming, snapshots, PTZ control, advanced detection events such as licence plate and face recognition, and intercom functionality. Support for UniFi Protect sensors extends this further with motion detection, temperature and humidity monitoring, and door open/close event tracking. UniFi Viewport integration enables HDMI video routing, custom views and temporary activations for events such as doorbell presses. Networking functionality includes full client management with the ability to block or allow access, authorise guests, display connected devices, manage hotspot vouchers, reboot network hardware, power cycle PoE ports and provide detailed device information through intuitive user interfaces.

This integration has been designed as a long-term platform. All future UniFi product integrations and enhancements will be provided as free upgrades under the same single licence, ensuring ongoing value and protecting the investment of dealers and their customers. By combining network management, surveillance, sensors and automation in one driver, we are empowering Control4 installations to be smarter, more reliable and more intelligent.

What are the Requirements for this driver?

• Control4 OS 3.4.3 is the minimum required. Earlier Control4 OS Versions are not officially supported.
• Control4 Core Series Controllers, CA-10 or better is recommended for the best experience
• For UniFi Network, Version 9.3.45 Or Better is required
• For UniFi Protect, Version 46.0.53 Or Better is required
• UniFi system must be configured and working prior to installing this driver
